Peec AI vs Profound: Pricing and Features Compared, 95 Projects featured image

Last updated: October 27, 2026. Prices checked on each vendor’s pricing page that day.

If you’re weighing Peec AI against Profound, the short version is this: Peec AI is the faster, self-serve choice with published pricing, and Profound is built for larger brands that need more engines, enterprise security and content agents, at a price you only learn on a call.

Below you’ll find a quick verdict, a side-by-side table, current pricing for both tools, a feature-by-feature comparison and the questions to ask each vendor before you sign.

Short Answer

Peec AI publishes self-serve prices starting at $95/month as of October 27, 2026 (Peec AI pricing page). It’s the better fit for in-house teams and agencies that want fast setup, unlimited seats and tracking across several AI engines without a sales cycle.

Profound offers a free 7-day trial, then custom Enterprise pricing (Profound pricing page, checked October 27, 2026). Its $99 and $399 plans were removed in mid-September 2026, according to GetIntel. It’s the better fit for larger brands that need up to 9 answer engines, SOC 2 and SSO, and AI agents that create content.

What Is Peec AI?

Peec AI is an AI search visibility platform based in Berlin. It launched its product in February 2025 and opened a New York sales office in 2026, according to its AI-instructions page (updated July 2026). The company is led by Marius Meiners (CEO), Daniel Drabo (CRO) and Tobias Siwonia (CTO).

Peec has raised about $29M. That includes a $21M Series A led by Singular, reported by TechCrunch on November 17, 2025.

The tool tracks how often your brand appears in AI answers for the prompts you choose. It reports on visibility, share of voice, sentiment and position, and shows which sources AI engines cite. Peec says it uses UI scraping so results reflect what real users see.

Peec names customers such as Zalando, Attio, Squarespace, Wix and Hugo Boss. It claims 3,000+ brands and agencies on one page and 3,500+ on its pricing page. Treat both figures as vendor claims.

What Is Profound?

Profound is an AI visibility and AI marketing platform. Its website lists several products: Answer Engine Insights, Prompt Volumes, Shopping Agent Analytics, Agent Analytics, AI Marketer, Agents and Context Manager.

Profound positions itself as more than a tracking tool. Its pricing FAQ says it isn’t only for AI search, and that its AI Marketer agents research, write content and build workflows. It also publishes original research, including a study released on October 2, 2026.

In February 2026, Profound raised a $96M Series C at a $1B valuation, led by Lightspeed (Profound newsroom, February 24, 2026; also reported by Fortune the same day).

Peec AI Pricing

Peec AI publishes its prices. The figures below are from its pricing page on October 27, 2026, in USD with monthly billing.

  • Starter: $95/month. 50 prompts, choose 3 models, unlimited users, daily tracking, 1 project.
  • Pro: $245/month. 150 prompts, 3 models, 2 projects.
  • Advanced: $495/month. 350 prompts, 3 models, 5 projects, multi-country tracking, Looker Studio integration.
  • Enterprise: Custom, billed annually. Fully customizable prompts, all models (up to 13 LLM models tracked), daily or weekly tracking, unlimited projects, API, SSO.

Add-ons. If 3 engines isn’t enough, Peec sells extra models. As of July 2026, per Peec’s AI-instructions page, an extra model costs $35/month on Starter, $85/month on Pro and $165/month on Advanced.

Agency plans. Peec has separate agency pricing. As of July 2026, per Peec: Essential $245/month, Growth $495/month, Scale $795/month and Comprehensive at custom pricing.

Annual savings. Peec’s AI-instructions page says annual billing saves about 15%. That figure comes from Peec, not the pricing page, so confirm the exact annual price before you commit.

A note on cost per prompt. Your real bill depends on how many prompts and engines you need. If you want 4 or 5 engines on Pro, the add-ons stack up fast. Price your full setup, not just the base plan.

Profound Pricing

Profound no longer shows self-serve prices for brands. As of October 27, 2026, its pricing page lists two options.

  • Trial: Free for 7 days. Limited AI Marketer credits, 50 prompts run daily, ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, 1 language, 1 region. No ChatGPT Shopping, no history, no exports, no API and no support.
  • Enterprise: Custom pricing. AI Marketer credits for your team, tailored prompt tracking, up to 9 answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search), ChatGPT Shopping, Agent Analytics, Prompt Volumes, all-time history, CSV/JSON exports, API, unlimited seats, SSO/SAML, SOC 2 and dedicated support options (email, a dedicated Slack channel and a specialist with a 24-hour SLA).

What changed in September 2026

Profound used to publish two lower-priced plans, both billed yearly:

  • Starter at $99/month: ChatGPT only, 50 prompts.
  • Growth at $399/month: ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews, 100 prompts.

Both plans were removed from the pricing page in mid-September 2026. That timeline comes from GetIntel, which captured the page on August 18 and September 15 to 17, 2026 (GetIntel). GetIntel sells a competing product, so read its commentary with that in mind. The plan details match what Profound previously published, but the framing is theirs.

Today, a brand buys Profound through a sales call.

What to ask on the Profound sales call

You’re negotiating without a public price, so come prepared.

  • Ask the vendor for the annual price for your exact prompt count and engine list, in writing.
  • Ask how AI Marketer credits are counted and what happens when your team runs out.
  • Ask whether all 9 engines are included or priced separately.
  • Ask about a minimum contract term and whether a shorter first term is possible.
  • Ask what support tier is included in your quote, since the dedicated Slack and 24-hour SLA are listed as options.
  • Ask for a reference customer at a company your size.

Use the 7-day trial before the call if you can. It only covers 3 engines and has no exports, but it shows you how the dashboard handles your prompts.

Features Compared

AI engines covered

Peec AI includes ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot as default engines. On self-serve plans you pick 3. Add-ons include Claude, DeepSeek, Qwen, Grok, Mistral and the OpenAI Search API, among others. Enterprise tracks up to 13 models.

Profound’s trial covers ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Enterprise covers up to 9 answer engines, including Exa Search, which Peec doesn’t list.

If Claude matters for your buyers, check how each vendor prices it. On Peec it’s an add-on. On Profound it’s part of the Enterprise engine list.

Prompt tracking and metrics

Peec AI tracks a set number of prompts per plan and reports four core metrics: Visibility, Share of Voice, Sentiment (scored 0 to 100) and Position. It also includes competitor benchmarking, gap analysis and query fanouts, which show the related searches an AI engine runs behind the scenes (query fan-out).

Profound offers tailored prompt tracking on Enterprise and a Prompt Volumes product. Its public pages don’t break down its scoring model in the same detail. Ask the vendor to show exactly how it calculates visibility and how Prompt Volumes estimates are sourced.

Citations and source analysis

Peec AI groups cited sources into categories: Editorial, Corporate, UGC, Reference and Own. That lets you see whether AI engines lean on review sites, forums or your own pages for a given prompt.

Profound lists Answer Engine Insights as a product but doesn’t publish the same source-level detail on its pricing page. Ask for a live demo of source reporting on one of your real prompts.

AI shopping tracking

This matters most if you sell products online. Peec AI tracks products in ChatGPT’s product carousel at the SKU level.

Profound includes ChatGPT Shopping on Enterprise and has a Shopping Agent Analytics product. ChatGPT Shopping is not available on the trial, so you can’t test it before buying.

Traffic and crawler analytics

Peec AI offers a crawlability check and crawl insights based on your server logs. This helps you see whether AI crawlers can reach your pages.

Profound’s Agent Analytics connects to Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, Google Analytics, GCP, Netlify, Vercel and WordPress. If your stack already runs on one of these, setup may be simpler. Ask the vendor which integrations are native and which need engineering time.

Content creation and agents

This is the clearest split between the two tools. Peec AI says it does not generate content by design. It gives you data and recommended actions, and your team does the work.

Profound’s AI Marketer agents research, write content and build workflows, according to Profound. If you want one platform that both measures and produces, Profound covers more ground. If you already have writers or an agency, that feature may not be worth the premium.

Integrations, API and security

Peec AI supports CSV exports, Looker Studio (on Advanced), API access (on Enterprise) and MCP. SSO is on Enterprise. Peec states it is pursuing SOC 2 but was not yet certified as of July 2026.

Profound offers CSV/JSON exports, API access, SSO/SAML and SOC 2 on Enterprise. The trial has none of these.

If your security team requires SOC 2 today, Profound clears that bar on paper. Ask Peec for its current SOC 2 timeline and whether it can share a security questionnaire in the meantime.

Which Should You Choose?

  • You want to start this month without a procurement cycle: Peec AI. You can see the price and pick a plan.
  • You run an agency managing several brands: Peec AI’s agency plans are published. Profound’s pricing page has a separate agencies view we didn’t cover here, so ask Profound for agency terms.
  • You need SOC 2 and SSO before legal will sign: Profound, based on its stated certifications.
  • You want AI agents to write content inside the same tool: Profound. Peec doesn’t offer this.
  • You sell physical products and care about ChatGPT shopping results: Both cover it. Peec offers it from self-serve plans; Profound requires Enterprise.
  • You need more than 3 engines on a mid-sized budget: Price Peec’s add-ons against a Profound quote before you decide.
  • You need Exa Search tracked: Profound lists it. Peec does not.

One more thing. Peec publishes its own Peec vs Profound page. It’s vendor-authored, so treat it as a sales document.

What Neither Tool Does for You

Peec AI and Profound measure your AI visibility. Even Profound’s content agents won’t fix why AI engines skip your brand in the first place.

The brands that win AI answers usually have three things working: content that answers buyer prompts directly, third-party mentions on the sources AI engines trust and a site that crawlers can read. A dashboard will show you where you’re missing. Someone still has to earn the citations, fix the technical issues and publish the pages that move the numbers.

That work is generative engine optimization. If you’re deciding between doing it in-house or hiring help, our list of the best GEO agencies compares your options.
